The lead up to the fireworks was fun to watch. The fireworks are set off on 6 barges positioned along the Hudson River.
So first, we saw one after another of the Macy-labeled barges coming up, being pushed by tug boats. Then the fire engine boats came thru spewing out water kinda like a peacock! Then we got the fireboats spewing red, white, and blue water. Overhead there were fly bys with the Blue Angels and then 5 NYPD Helicopters. All this activity was leading up to the real reason so many were out on the streets watching overhead.
