The Greatfull Dead & A Rooftop Bar

Friday evening we went to the NY Historical Society Museum. They normally house a history of city of New York including George Washington's bed. Turns out, the museum is being restored, so it was closed -- other than the special exhibit on "The Greatfull Dead".

Yes, we've seen the "Dead" perform (hey Janet & memories of GiGi & Eugene in the mud!!!) But overall, the exhibit was disappointing. But I want to "post" about it simply to show the multitude of the experiences NYC has to offer. We saw historical artifacts second to none in the morning...Dead Head tickets on display in the evening...and both were free.

Still, the evening wasn't a bust. We left the museum and went to a rooftop bar where we took in cool breezes and sunset views of the Empire State Building and the Chrystler Building.
